Nothing beats experience like quality.

A young Steve Davis at the Camus Masters with Winston Yee and Gidget Turner in 1979We take pride in quality, quality products and quality people. At the end of the day, when we deliver your cue, you don't look at how long we have been in business, you look at the product, you look at how well the cue has been crafted, you look at how well it was delivered, and you look at how well it has been customized to your needs.

THAT IS OUR BUSINESS.

With over 40 years of experience, we know what you need as a snooker player. We take pride in knowing the fine details and put them into our cues.

Cue Fabrication

Using the finest quality North American Ash Wood with great shaft grains, we pair that with Ebony hardwood for the butt of the cue, completing the quality look that you get. To spice things up, we decorate the cue with tulip splices chosen from ebony, rosewood and many other exotic woods, depending on your taste.

Our History

Like any other successful business, Paris Billiards Association (PBA) started out as a passionate hobby of its founder Winston Yee. As a snooker aficionado, he lived and breathed snooker. Since the 50's, Winston participated and won in a variety of billiards and snooker tournaments in Hong Kong.

Jo Johnson (left) and Alex Higgins (2nd right) - Snooker World Champions with Winston and Gidget Turner in one of the snooker demonstrations organised by the YEE family in 1985In 1968 Winston took his hobby to the next level, noticing that the local market lacked the organizations necessary to start professional tournaments, he built his own organization that focused on the development of snooker clubs and the organizing of snooker tournaments and exhibitions. His passion for the sport was evident in the tournaments, as these local games brought winners to participate in international level snooker tournaments that were held and setup by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).

Throughout the 80's, PBA grew to become a family run business, with several snooker halls located around Hong Kong, Winston's daughter, Gidget Turner, handled all aspects of marketing and management. These snooker halls attracted many professional players providing Winston and family with additional knowledge to the wants and needs of new snooker players.

In the 90's, PBA ventured into new business. As Billiards and Snooker was at its peak, Winston and family saw that there was a needed demand for quality custom handmade cues. They realised that a player can only have their best game with a cue that fits with their needs. The family had the connections to leverage their knowledge and build their own brand with the help of Winston's son Billy.

Billy Yee, CUE ENGINEER SPECIALIST

Billy Yee with Eric LewisTaking in the footsteps of his father, Billy also developed a love for the game. As he grew older, Billy developed an interest in the development of snooker cues. With the added exposure towards professional players, he understood the ‘soft skills' related to the development of a snooker cue. A well-balanced cue is made up of multiple aspects of a cues feature and its owner. Such features include its center balance and weight. Putting these aspects together creates a cue that gives the owner full control of the ball its hitting. As a result, each persons ‘perfect cue' is different.

Gidget Turner, BUSINESS MOGUL/FASHION AFICIONADO

Unlike her father, Gidget was not a snooker player. On the other hand, she is as every bit like her father when it comes to business. Execution of the perfect tournament display, a showroom floor, a billiards hall layout or even a shop display is her specialty. She has a flair in getting things done and cutting through the red tape, making her the business mogul. Today she acts as Managing Director of PBA, Owner and Artistic Director of Rainbow Connection Salon and she is also a passionate musician on her electronic keyboard (a Yamaha EL-900M), performing in live events around UK and participating in International Organ Competitions.
